Mustangs Win at Muckleshoot

RCMS visited the Muckleshoot Kings today for their next match focused and ready to play.
Ryan Thomas started the scoring in the 3rd minute, and CaryAuguston followed up with two more quick strikes in the 5th and 6th minutes.
The early lead allowed for players to try new positions and for the younger team members to gain crucial experience. It did not take long for players like Jacob Dale, Jacob Stutzman, Alex Hirst, and Tavian O’Rourke to get engaged and start connecting passes for quick shots on frame. Even though the Kings goalkeeper made the saves the pressure and drive was there. The defensive line lead by Ali Dobbs and Jonathan Varughese did excellent work in keeping the ball out of Tranholt’s hands.
Late in the first half, the Kings earned a call near the goal that ultimately leads to their only goal.
The Mustangs started the second half with a high possession game. The team was able to connect 12 consecutive passes before the Kings touched the ball. While there were no goals scored in this half, possession and defense were the highlights.
The Mustangs earned their first win of the season with a final of 3-1.
